So much time has passed and yet I haven't had very much time to spend here ... venting. I've just been taking things one day at a time ... as it comes.
First off, I wanted to take a minute to thank a very wonderful person for his time and kindness. Thank you very much HATE for taking time out of your busy schedule to make my header. The colors are perfect, the design is perfect. I love it and appreciate it a great deal. You're the best!!
An incident happened on Wednesday afternoon that hit a little too close to home. My 17 year old neighbor, who happens to be 8 months pregnant, is with a 29 year old guy who beats the shit out of her. This guy is the father of her baby, who also happens to be the father of 5 other children (by 4 other girls), who I'm sure receive money from the government (aka ... the money I work so hard to make). Anyways ... this guy has threatened to kill her and anyone with her, including her two little brothers who are only 8 and 10 years old. According to him, he doesn't give a shit because "he has nothing to lose". Well, on Wednesday afternoon, she was sitting in his car in the driveway and apparently they got in to an argument, so she got out of his car and started walking towards the door. He jumped out of his car, knocked over her 96 year old great grandfather who was sitting on the porch and grabbed her by the hair before she went inside. He drug her by the hair back to the car, her shoe falling off in the driveway, pushed her in the car and took off. Yeah, in front of everyone (I live directly across from an adult school), in broad daylight. At this time, the lady that cares for the old man was hysterical and someone at the school called 911 and they were there within minutes (I live 2 blocks away from the Sheriff station). The whole street was blocked off with police cars, SUV's, ambulances, etc. They checked out the old man, who happened to be okay, considering his fall and his age. The police tried to get information on the guy, however when they reached the girl's mother at work, she didn't know very much about the guy who the daughter was dating. During all the confusion, the girl called home from her cell phone and spoke to the police. She informed them that she was okay, and the police advised her that they wanted to see for themselves. Well, she continuously hung up on them, which pissed them off even more. They put out an Amber Alert (since it was considered "kidnapping") and he was caught within the hour. They arrested him, escorted her back home, took pictures of her face (from where he hit her), had her checked out and booked him. He is now in the county jail, awaiting all his court cases and I'm hoping he'll be locked up for a very long time. He has priors, including possession, suspended license, burglary, robbery, assault and even accessory to murder. They should throw the book at his ass. I hope she fuckin' learned from this. We feared for her life because of his past violent streaks. He's beat her ass so many times and left her black and blue, from her face to her chest and who knows where else. The thing that pisses me off and is upsetting is that her parents NEVER pressed charges in the past, possibly out of fear. Whether charges will be pressed this time ... who knows. I think the state will press charges themselves, regardless. Like I said before ... this hit a little too close to home, and fear or not, if any guy ever laid a finger on my child ... he wouldn't live another day. He's a damn coward!! Why not fight with someone that'll give you a fair fight ... not a girl ... especially one that is pregnant with your child. What the fuck does that prove?? Strength?? Power?? Damn that pisses me off ... because I've been there.
Like the saying goes ... what doesn't kill you will only make you stronger ... I'm a true believer in that.
